Lying there, by your side,
When the passion's spent,
And the heat is but an ember.
A feeling flows down over me,
And I know that never have I been so loved;
Not by the torrid flames
Burning so sweetly but moments past,
But by the tender strength
Of those arms that enclose me,
Keeping me close to your heart.
And I hear the beat, steady and true,
Repeating it's cadence....I love you.
