In You

BY CAROLE NICHOLS

In you, I find I have gained
More than I ever lost;
It was worth all the pain and tears,
To find you here, worth the cost.

In you, I've found a good right hand,
That holds mine, safe and warm;
In you, I've found my dearest friend,
Who protects me from all harm.

In you, I've found the sunshine,
Though storm clouds may fill the sky;
In you, I've found my rainbow,
Love lifting me up most high.

In you, I've found an angel,
Who's wings aren't afraid to bend;
In you, I've found sweet laughter,
To help my scarred soul mend.

In you, I've found the comfort
Of knowing you'll always be there;
In you, I've found belief in me,
You always let me know you care.

In you, I've learned to fully give,
No longer shall I fear;
In you, I've found the rest of my life,
You are, to me, irreplaceably dear.
