Long Distance Friend
BY CAROLE NICHOLS
I feel the light of your love,
Surrounding me with your warm glow;
A cocooning buffer between me and pain,
A safe haven where my mind can go.
What started out as a silent voice,
Offering friendship and support
Has evolved into to something new;
It's turned into such sweet rapport.
Without having even met or touched,
You seem to know my soul so well.
Your voice vibrates across my skin;
Where this will go, I can't tell.
You're as real to me as any man;
I think I'd know you at a glance.
You make me feel so wonderful;
You make me want to take a chance.
Though your face, to me, is still a blank,
I have a picture of you in my mind.
I feel you working to tear down my walls;
Thank you for being so loving and kind.
