The time has come for me to go,
Will you hold my hand once more?
Will you smile for me and wish me well
As I walk out this door?

The memories that I take with me
Will hold me on my way;
Will you keep yours and smile
Even though I leave today?

If I could do just one more thing,
I'd wipe the sadness from your eyes;
For it was never my wish to hurt you,
But there is no plan for when love dies.

The time has come to move on,
To find what life has left for me;
Will you hold my hand one more time,
And with no regrets, set me free?
