My Love

BY CAROLE NICHOLS

More fierce than summer's raging storm,
When wind blows wild with rain's needle bites;
My love is.
It will shake you more than thunder's roar,
Pierce deeper than lightening's strike,
And, like the aftermath,
When nature's drenched and at peace;
My love leaves you floating,
Awash in passions' sweet nectar.

More depth than the ocean's dark chasm,
Filled with mysteries delightful to seek;
My love is.
And in finding a priceless pearl, you weep,
Joyous surprise, lingering to tease the mind,
Tempting the soul
To partake of the fruit
In that chamber of love
That is part of my heart.

More beautiful than the pristine peaks,
Lofty heights kissing the floor of heaven;
My love is.
It will send you so high on wings of joy
You'll yearn to remain in that comforting cloud;
My love reaches out from the house of my soul,
Wanting you to take hold,
Remain within my arms,
Feeding on the feeling till hunger is sated,
And my love's hot passion
Becomes loves sweet holding.
