Thy Love Lets Me
BY CAROLE NICHOLS
Thy love lets me feel fairies in the mist;
Reaching to infinity; no boundaries, no doors.
Fluttering, air moving, softly caressing,
My love hath wings, my soul soars.
Thy love lets me see the dragons of dreams,
And my heart is filled with passion overflowing.
Floating with feverish delight, chasing rainbows,
Eyes darkened and heavy, thy form glowing.
Thy love lets me hear all of heaven's rhapsodies,
Tis impossible to exist without thy pulsing flame;
And all nature sings with the bliss I feel,
And I know that I will never be the same.
Thy love lets me believe in the promise of tomorrow,
And my body can't hold the exultation within.
Thy perfection covers me with such joy and love,
And my own seeps from my pores, washing thy skin.
I dance in the clouds in such sweet delight,
Run wild through the glade, spin in the rain.
Til I once more lie within thine own fire,
Overwhelmed and consumed, yet feeling no pain.
